This track was recorded by and includes additional instrumentation from Matthew Roberts. I apologize for the volume difference. This is probably the only song that is at the correct volume. Hooray demos!

Many of my songs are what I consider to be autobiographical fiction, or personal historical fiction. This song was intended to be written as a fiction. I had the simple picture of a blue-collar working man who had been left by his wife of some years for an old flame. All he has left are his cigarettes, his dogs, and his plea to for her to come home.

Lifeboat Etiquette, the moniker for singer-songwriter Ryan Hollen, has been around the Fort Collins area since 2005. Originally a solo act, new members were added over the years, including Baily Stauffer (now Hollen, thanks very much) who married into the project.
